Reimagining the retail experience, NEVIS brings shopping to you a personalized and automated shopping experience. Together with my team, we have created not just a company, but a vision of the future of phygital retail in the next 10-15 years.
Enhancing the future of phygital retail, our vision tackles the problems community engagement to improve the environment around us for a more integrated and fluid retail experience. Within the next 15 years, we aim to create a public ecosystem that encompasses seamless services to enhance urbanization within cities.
Brand Introduction :
Our goal is to make a seamless experience with phygital involvement that tackles sustainability and community engagement into our retail solution which gives a transportable service to our hyper personalized customers.
Vehicles :
NEVIS brings multiple shopping experience to their users through large and precise vehicles. Each vehicle contains its own genre of products from groceries, entertainment, fitness, and any sponsored companies that want to market their products. Each vehicle have its own layout giving each section an unique experience wanting them to walk in all stations.
Personalized Shopping Carts :
When entering the area around NEVIS cars, you will be greeted with a personalized shopping cart. This cart is your guidance to explore the different vehicles. With integrated AI, you can talk to the shopping cart and ask questions about where products are, prices of items, etc. The shopping cart will automatically follow you around to make less hassle for the user when walking around a dense area.
Automation :
From the vehicles to the shopping carts, many features are automated to make the experience seamless to the user. First, the NEVIS cars are self driving to reduce time and energy to dedicated drivers as well as to ensure the perfect route to each location. The shopping cart follows the user automatically using cameras to see the motions of the user. The payment system is also automated with a face scan on the shopping cart to instantly pay for items once moving outside each of the NEVIS cars.
NEVIS is a movable market for local residents from urban communities to enjoy seamless and personalized shopping experiences. We consider space and how to utilize space to the maximum efficiency for users and design how people will interact with our system for a seamless experience.
I've learned a lot as one of my first times working on a team with different talents. From team management, flexibility, and different design workflows, I learned how to communicate with my team to execute a vivid vision of the future.
Throughout the process, me and my team had multiple meetings each week to figure out many things, ideation, research, workload, etc. We each express what we wanted out of this project and combined our different talents to create a multi-media vision to best represent our idea. We have all created the designs and ideation of the cars and shopping carts, but Jack Li was the one who created the renderings using SOLIDWORKS. My portion of the project consisted of creating all the graphic design choices as well of the UI interfaces of the vehicles and shopping carts. Amy Kim helped with ideation, research, some design choices, and creating the app that is use for NEVIS.
Our team put many hours into showcasing our vision to the world to our best ability and to me, succeeds to create a powerful story to what might come in the future.
